Sedation Dentistry Brampton

If you’re feeling a bit nervous about seeing the dentist, our Brampton dentist and staff at Earlsbridge Dental has you covered. We offer a number of sedation methods to ensure your next dental appointment goes as smoothly and comfortably as possible. Our dental sedation methods include:

General Anesthesia
This powerful mode of sedation is also known as sleep dentistry because it literally puts you to sleep during your procedure. This is ideal for patients who have extreme dental phobia or who require major dental surgery.

Oral Conscious Sedation
Compared with general aesthesia, oral conscious sedation puts you in a comfortable yet conscious state throughout your procedure. You will need to take an oral sedative prier to your appointment. The effects kick in once you arrive at our office.

Nitrous Oxide
Better known as laughing gas, nitrous oxide minimizes all your anxiety and pain during your procedure. It puts you in a completely relaxed and anxiety-free state. Nitrous oxide is given through a facemask, which allows the patient to breathe it in, combines with oxygen. The effects don’t last long once the mask is removed so you will be able to continue with your day’s duties following your procedure.

IV Conscious Sedation
This mode of sedation puts you in a groggy state during your appointment. You will be able to respond to the dentist's questions; however, all patients may not remember parts of their procedure. IV sedation is ideal for patients who are nervous or who require extensive dental work.

The dental team at Earlsbridge Dental will work with you to choose the appropriate sedation method. Contact our office in Brampton to find out more information.
